Benchmark Psychiatric Services, LTD. is a mental health organization dedicated to the provision of child, adult, geriatric, and family wellness. We offer comprehensive, office-based, and on-site psychiatric and counseling services to our clients. Services are currently provided through our offices in Orland Park, IL and on-site at numerous skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in Illinois. We strive to provide a multidisciplinary approach to the assessment and treatment of emotional, behavioral, and cognitive difficulties.
Nathan R. Jaisingh, is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who has studied at Morehead State University, in Morehead, KY, Rush University in Chicago, IL, and the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. His graduate and doctoral areas of focus include adolescent, adult, and geriatric psychiatry, psychopharmacology, and clinical practice & research with competitive athletes in improving overall performance through mental strength coaching.
Nathan R. Jaisingh founded Benchmark Psychiatric Services, LTD. in 2002, with the primary endeavor centered on geriatric psychiatry and psychopharmacology - with the goal of delivering stellar services on-site to long term care facilities. This model has grown from a single provider in two facilities, to now 15 providers in nearly 65 facilities in Illinois and Kentucky - and still growing!
After two and a half years of research and development, Nathan R. Jaisingh identified a significant need for a comprehensive program specifically structured for professional, collegiate, and competitive pre-collegiate athletes. From this, Integrative Athletic Enhancement (IAE) was created.
Nathan R. Jaisingh is a Frank G. Dickey Fellow of the University of Kentucky and is an avid University of Kentucky athletics supporter. He is also a fervent Chicago Bears and Chicago White Sox fan, having now lived in the Chicagoland area since 2000.
Nathan R. Jaisingh is married to a wonderful wife, Nicole, and together raise 3 delightful & inspiring children.
Amanda Amiti is licensed and dually certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is a graduate of Walden University in Minneapolis, MN where she received a Master of Science in Nursing degree. During her graduate studies, she was a member of Sigma Theta Tau, International Honor Society of Nursing. Amanda also completed a post-masters Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program through the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL.
Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, she worked as a Registered Nurse in a variety of healthcare settings including Labor & Delivery/Nursery/Post-Partum, Women's Health, Outpatient Health clinics, Home Health, and Long-Term Care facilities. Amanda spent much of her time working with the Alzheimer’s/Dementia geriatric population - that sparked her interest in Geriatric Psychiatric Disorders. It was during her experience working in Home Health in Peoria, IL, where she saw the prevalence of Psychiatric needs and became passionate about filling that void of Mental Health providers.
Amanda provides care to residents in several Long-Term Care facilities, and at Benchmark’s outpatient offices, performing psychiatric evaluations and medication management. She also has a special interest in treating Post-Partum Depression.
In her free time, she enjoys hiking at Starved Rock and sampling varieties of teas and coffees from around the world. She also enjoys traveling Macedonia, her husband’s country of origin, with her husband and 3 children visiting her family and friends from afar.
Donna Hir recieved her undergraduate degree in Psychology with a concentration in mental health from Governors State University and her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Chicago.
Her Various experiences include working within school settings, outpatient, and community mental health agencies, as well as within the community providing crisis intervention services. Her interests include working with adolescents and adults experiencing issues such as trauma, depression, anxiety, and attachment issues.
Donna works from a solution-focused, trauma-informed lens, focusing on strengths of the client and exploring ways for clients to better connect with themselves and others. Donna believes that each client is the expert on thier lives and that with the right support, each can gain perspective and the tools necessary to live a life free from the confussion and pain they may be experiencing.
In her free time, Donna enjoys spending time with loved ones, hiking, and connecting with nature.
Jill Powers is a licensed Nurse Practitioner, dually certified in Family Practice and Psychiatry. She graduated with her Master's in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2007 from the University of Illinois at Chicago and from the University of Cincinnati as a Psychiatric Health Nurse Practitioner in 2020.
Throughout her 26-year career as a nurse, which includes a 14-year career as a Nurse Practitioner, Jill has worked with children and psychiatric patients in the outpatient and inpatient settings. She is qualified to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication for children, adolescents, and adults.
Jill provides care to our outpatients via telehealth and in-person. She enjoys the process of forming relationships with her patients and formulating individualized treatment plans to aid patients in achieving their goals. Some of her practice specialties inclue, but are not limited to, ADHD, Depression, Anxiety and Bipolar Disorder.
In her free time, Jill enjoys reading boods, hosting parties, cooking, watchcing sports, and spending time with her family. She has been married to Kevin for 27 years and they have two children.
As the evening receptionist at Benchmark Mind + Health, Judy is the smiling face and pleasant voice that you will be greeted by when you enter or call the office. She is, most likely, the person who will check you in for your appointment and assist you with scheduling your follow up appointment. Judy has over 15 years' experience working in medical administration and provides excellent support on many levels including patient care quality, scheduling, communication, and billing.
Judy is a very proud mother and grandmother. In addition to her love of couponing, she is an avid Sudoku player and loves horseback riding.
As Office Manager since 2009, Lisa is a central column of our office operations team. If you are a patient, you are likely to speak with Lisa regarding scheduling, discussion of billing matters, your insurance coverage or related. Lisa provides support on many levels including provider scheduling, human resources, patient care quality, and she works tirelessly to ensure the office is a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for our providers and patients.
In addition to being the proud mother of a former US Marine and a doting Grandma, Lisa is a cancer survivor. She recently fought and beat Lymphoma and has been in remission since 2012. Lisa resides in Orland Hills, IL and is an avid Chicago Blackhawks fan.
Melanie Fordham is an Orland Park native and a certified Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2009. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree at Middle Tennessee State University in Child Development and Family Studies. She went on and obtained her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Tennessee-Knoxville.
Melanie has significant experience working with the geriatric population. She has worked in various agencies for seniors throughout our community. Over the past three years, she has also gained additional experience through counseling adults in their homes and working with individuals struggling with weight loss. Melanie’s main approach in therapy focuses on cognitive behavior therapy as well as motivational interviewing and mindfulness practices. She focuses on meeting the individual where they are and working with the individual to problem solve the challenges they face. Her clinical interests include helping individuals with a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, grief, weight loss, and familial issues.
Melanie and her husband, Matt, have the joy of raising two young girls who, so far, are the best of friends. Together, they enjoy visits to the city, spending time with family and friends, going to the park, and taking long walks.
Michele Racanelli received her undergraduate degree in psychology from Elmhurst College and her master’s degree in counseling psychology from Lewis University. She went on to obtain a certificate in addictions after completing graduate school and while completing an internship, found her passion for working with those battling or affected by addiction.
Michele’s varied experience includes working in residential addictions and school settings as well as private practice. Her interests include working with addictions, trauma, depression, anxiety, family issues, and dealing with the stress of daily life. Her integrative approach includes providing a warm, safe environment to discuss issues and gain insight. Using client-centered and cognitive-behavioral approaches while she collaborates with her clients, Michele helps guide with empathy and humor to overcome obstacles, achieve goals, and live a fulfilling life.
In her free time, Michele enjoys spending time connecting with loved ones, reading, and most of all, cheering on her beloved Chicago sports teams, particularly the Chicago Blackhawks.
Michelle Mannino Purkey received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Purdue University and her master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Purdue University Calumet. Her clinical experience includes working with individuals, couples, families, and groups.
Michelle's areas of interest include medical family therapy and bereavement. Specifically, Michelle completed her master's thesis on the effects of cancer on the family. She compiled information about cancer support centers throughout the United States and the types of services they offer to people affected by cancer.
Michelle works from a solution-focused approach and believes that people are the experts in their lives. She views her role as someone who can offer support and empathy as well as someone who can challenge and encourage people to find new solutions. Michelle believes that discussing and highlighting a person's strengths and prior successes is a critical part of therapy.
Dr. Mojgan Makki is a practicing Psychiatrist with over 15 years of experience. She is a double board certificated physician with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Child, Adolescents, and Adult Psychiatry. She has extensive experience in inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings treating a wide range of mental health disorders in children, adolescents, and adults. She advocates for children and adolescent mental health through her involvement with national organizations and her work with the American Medical Association and Psychiatric Associations. Dr. Makki has been on the board of directors of the Illinois Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and is currently a delegate to the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. She has served as a medical director in the inpatient child, adolescent, and adult psychiatric unit in Chicago, IL, and St. Louis, MO including at Rush University Medical Center.
Dr. Makki is dedicated to education. She has been a mentor to peers and trainees for over 15 years and continues to work with medical schools, residents, and fellows in training. In addition to her private practice in two locations (Glenview and Chicago), Dr. Makki is a consultant to a number of schools in Cook County and the Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL). Her philosophy of care is evidence-based and collaborative with the patients, families, and other health care providers that are involved with treating the patients.
Dr. Nicole Mozden is a board-certified pediatrician and clinical homeopathic physician. Dr. Nicole is from Palos Park, IL, and currently resides in Orland Park, IL with her husband and three amazing children. She loves being part of this community and bringing an important focus to nutrition, natural health options, and homeopathy in her general pediatric practice.
Dr. Nicole completed her undergraduate work at Indiana University and then went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine degree from Rush Medical College in 2003. She completed her pediatrics residency from Loyola in 2006 and has been practicing locally for over 10 years. Dr. Nicole has always been passionate about helping patients achieve their optimal health and stop the cycle of chronic illness and the use of unnecessary pharmaceuticals. She expertly implements natural treatments that are safe and effective, like homeopathic medications, supplements, and nutrition to support the body during acute and chronic illness.
Dr. Nicole is available for consultation for those interested in the integration of homeopathic therapies with our child, adolescent, and young adult clients.

Early in his nursing career, Rodeny found his passion to improve the lives of patients suffering from mental health complications. He began his journey in mental health caring for Veterans at a Long-Term Care facility as a member of the Dementia and Alzheimer's unit. Following that he worked with Developmentally Delayed patients within a developmental center and group home setting. Most recently, Rodney delivered care to individuals of all ages in two inpatient hospital programs for mental health crisis support and intervention.
Rodney provides medication management to patients at Benchmark Outpatient Office and also delivers psychotropic assessment and compliance management services to residents of Long-Term Care and Skilled Nursing facilities.
