Balancing Home, Work, School, and Sports can be difficult at times. Students often are busy with sports while at the same time have homework and family life. This group will introduce some strategies that students and parents can use in order to optimize their time and complete tasks while at the same time enjoying their free time. This group will discuss several aspects of effective learning techniques that are research based and address the most frequent asked questions. Learn to optimize your skills and develop self-confidence when engaged in learning.
Stress Management Group for Working Parents:
This group will provide participants the opportunity to learn some very practical but proven techniques for reducing stress and enjoying your life. Many times the demands of life can seem to burden us and cause unnecessary anxiety. Learn some ways to relax at home, and work. Call for information regarding group times and cost.
Parenting with Positive Discipline:
Parenting presents us with many challenges, including such behaviors as power struggles, temper tantrums, and sibling arguments. This 3 hour workshop is designed to teach parents how to live more harmoniously with their children and be better connected as a family. Join this group in learning how to discipline and communicate more effectively, and build a relationship based on mutual respect and trust.
Positive Discipline teaches adults to employ kindness and firmness at the same time, and is neither punitive nor permissive. Positive Discipline works long-term and helps to teach children how to be more responsible, confident and capable.
